Palmdale School District, California, Selects Infinite Campus to Streamline Processes and Improve District Communication
Blaine, Minn. (PRWEB) March 23, 2014 -- Palmdale School District (PSD), located one hour north of Los Angeles, has selected Infinite Campus as their district-wide student information system (SIS). Serving nearly 20,000 students, PSD will engage staff, students and parents with a capable SIS that provides ease of use and communication of data in a secure and intuitive way.
Palmdale went through a rigorous process to select the best SIS vendor, including input meetings with teachers, office staff, parents and other stakeholders. This allowed for specific needs and wants to be discussed so potential vendors could address them in their RFPs.
“The RFP process brought the top three vendors out to compete. We had a team of over 60 people evaluate full-day demonstrations from multiple vendors. What tipped the decision in favor of Infinite Campus was how well refined the product is. Every effort is made to eliminate duplicate data entry and storage which reduces data errors. Having a standard, solid and unified HTML 5 interface was also critical in our selection,” says Jim Smith, PSD Information Services Manager.
Additional features Infinite Campus gives PSD include online enrollment, online registration and a web-based portal for teachers, parents and students to access information in real time. PSD is also looking to replace their outdated dialer system with Messenger with Voice, a Campus Premium Product used to send general or emergency notifications via email, phone or text messaging.
