Papalinos Pizza to celebrate Boys & Girls Haven with Derby Hats for Haven Event
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) April 23, 2015 -- Today, Papalinos Pizza, located in the Springhurst shopping area is making the most of everyone’s favorite topping (for their head) on Saturday, April 25, and starting their own Derby tradition to raise funds for Louisville’s Boys & Girls Haven. Starting at 11:00am Papalinos will be giving every customer who wears a “Derby Worthy” hat (no baseball caps please) a FREE appetizer and will be donating 10% of their proceeds from the day to Boys & Girls Haven. Additionally, customers can enjoy all day food and drink specials, live entertainment and Derby oriented fun for their kids.
“As a Louisville original ourselves, wanted to find a way to celebrate the joy and excitement of Derby and also do some good for the community”, says Shelly Sharber, co-owner of Papalinos. “And since we were already engaged in being the dinner sponsor at Friday, April 24’s Pasta Dinner for the teams running for Boys & Girls Haven in the Derby Festival’s Mini Marathon, we thought it was a natural way to continue that partnership through the weekend and continue to have a little fun with it.”
Aside from the sporting of fantastic hats, the day’s events will include Papalinos’ take on some Kentucky favorites like a “Basil Julep” instead of mint and the Hot Brown Pizza, Pizza Box Hat making for the kids and live music by Big Poppa Stampley.
