(PRWEB) July 18, 2013 -- Changes are underway to ISO 14001, the environmental management systems standard. A working draft will be ready late 2013 and the new standard published in 2015. It will be a completely new structure and will follow ISO’s long-standing attempts to develop a harmonized, common framework for all its management system standards. Also planned are revisions to ISO 9001 with a completion date planned for 2015 and complete overhaul to OHSAS 1800, the international occupational health and safety management specification.

As a draft outline for a consistent standard throughout all the management systems standards has been created it will be used to revise the current ISO 14001 system and over the next couple of years be used to revise ISO 9001 and possibly the revision of ISO 13485.
