Park Ridge High School Senior Wins First Annual MDL Scholarship
Bergen County, NJ (PRWEB) May 29, 2014 -- The 2014 MDL Educational Scholarship for New Jersey High School Seniors, founded by Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi, has been awarded to Bergen County's Park Ridge High School senior, Claudia Fendian. Ms. Fendian is the first ever recipient of the annual MDL Scholarship and will receive $500 to help fund her pursuit of becoming an attorney at law.
"The choice was difficult." says Christopher DiGirolamo. "There were many qualified candidates. But in the end, Claudia Fendian stood out. She has wonderful credentials, valedictorian, number one in her class and is mature beyond her years. And of course, she has a strong interest in the law."
The scholarship was open to all college-bound New Jersey high school seniors with an interest in becoming an attorney. It's goal was to help facilitate access to higher learning, the first step on the worthwhile journey towards a law degree. The scholarship candidates were judged on their past academic achievement, test scores, extra curricular activities and an essay about the influences that have shaped their desire to pursue a career in law.
The MDL Scholarship is a product of the firm's three passions: love of the law, dedication to education and community investment. Michael Maggiano explains "It has always been a goal of the firm to invest in our community and in the development of a deeper understanding of the law. We have been doing both for many years separately, but this is the first time we have been able to marry both objectives in to one goal. This scholarship allows us to help support the development of the future legal minds of New Jersey."
The application for the 2015 MDL Scholarship for New Jersey High School Seniors is available now. Scholarship applications for the coming year can be submitted to the firm after the end of the high school senior's first semester and are due by April 30, 2015.
