Park West Care Center Receives its Fifth National Recognition for Medicare Ratings
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) April 23, 2015 -- The U.S. has over 1.7 million licensed skilled nursing beds in over 16,000 skilled nursing facilities in operation. With so many locations available to render physical and occupational therapy, and rehabilitative services to those recovering from a surgery, injury or illness, how does one narrow down the list to make a selection? With questions on the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, the level of therapy and care offered it can be difficult to know which is the best location to go to.
As a solution to help out those faced with such a choice, a star rating system was created by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS proctors unannounced surveys throughout the year that rate each location based on health inspections, nursing staff, and quality measures. In an effort to help sort through the data, U.S. News & World report has compiled a list of all facilities displaying their star ratings given by CMS. The seventh annual “Best Nursing Home” report can be found by visiting http://www.usnews.com/best-nursing-homes.
At the top of the list is Park West Care Center, a client facility of North American Health Care, Inc. Medicare has given 31 of 36 facilities serviced by North American Health Care a five-star rating. Approximately 20 percent of all skilled nursing facilities in the United States will achieve this level of success. No other similar organization in the United States has consistently achieved this level of patient care.
“Our team is passionate about providing five-star service,” said Patricia McDonald, Administrator of Park West. “To us, that means going above and beyond to brighten someone’s day. Whether it’s a patient or a family member we want you to feel welcome and comfortable here.”
Residents are highly complimentary. “My mother’s rehabilitation process was really enhanced by the level of care she received here. We would recommend Park West to everyone.” and “There are a lot of talented nurses, CNA’s, doctors, secretaries and therapists. It is very clean and well maintained, good nourishing, very tasty food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality care” are some of the more recent testimonials that speak to the care and culture of Park West Care Center.
Additionally, in a recent article in the Puget Sound Business Journal, Park West Care Center was highlighted as one of Seattle’s best nursing homes. For more information about Park West, please visit parkwestcare.com.
