New Haven, CT (PRWEB) August 16, 2016 -- Parkmobile, LLC announced today that the company will be the new mobile payments provider for Express Parking in the City of New Haven. Parkmobile has been proud to offer mobile parking payments for the city since 2013. The company’s solution will allow residents and visitors to use their mobile phones to pay for parking in multiple lots throughout the city. Customers can pay for parking with their smartphones using Parkmobile’s mobile applications for iPhone, Android, and Windows phones.
“We are thrilled to expand the Parkmobile network to include all Express Parking lots across New Haven. Now residents and visitors alike can use Parkmobile to easily start, pay, and extend their parking sessions at all on-street spaces in the city, as well as private lots across town,” said Jon Ziglar, CEO of Parkmobile. “With 5 million members using our service in over 2,000 cities, parking garages, airports, event venues, and universities across the US and Canada, Parkmobile is rapidly emerging as the only parking app you need wherever you travel. We look forward to working with Express Parking, in addition to continuing our successful partnership with the City of New Haven.”
The parking operator’s current mobile payments provider will no longer be in service, and the Parkmobile system can be used effective immediately. Parkers can register in advance by downloading the mobile app in their phone’s app store or online at http://www.parkmobile.com. Once registered, customers may use the mobile app, internet, or call a toll-free number to pay for parking. After setting up their account, they can immediately begin using the system with their registered mobile phone.
With the most widely used mobile parking solution in the country and 5 million people using Parkmobile’s services over 30 million times per year, Parkmobile is excited to make a difference leveraging our unrivaled network of users. The company currently has over 1.2 million users in the tri-state area and proudly offers its solution in Greenwich, Norwalk, Hartford, Middletown, Yonkers, Pittsburgh, and over 20 cities in New Jersey, with New York City soon to come.
This convenient service also provides customers the ability to receive alerts when their parking time is about to expire, extend their time remotely, as well as print and keep receipts for parking. Additionally, enforcement officers will be able to see that a motorist has paid with Parkmobile using their wireless handheld devices, so customers should not worry when the meter does not change. Parkmobile’s mobile payment solution is an added payment option and is intended to complement existing parking payment options. All existing forms of payment are still valid for use.
