Paso Robles Wine Producer Whalebone Vineyard Earns Praise In Forbes Magazine
Paso Robles, CA (PRWEB) February 28, 2015 -- As the owners of Whalebone Vineyard in Paso Robles, Calif., Bob and Janalyn Simpson are celebrating 25 years in business with a recent mention in Forbes Magazine in addition to taking top honors at prestigious wine competitions. Whalebone Vineyard was singled out as one of the best wineries in Paso Robles.
“With our small, family-owned winery, we enjoy welcoming visitors back to our tasting room year after year,” says Bob Simpson. “We offer great wines in an authentic, laid-back setting – and that’s why people keep coming back.”
In her Forbes Magazine article “Five New Destinations For Wine Lovers,” writer Michelle Doucette mentions Whalebone Vineyard as being among the “must-see tasting rooms” in San Luis Obispo County. Located along the California Central Coast half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles, the SLO County Wine Region boasts more than 200 area wineries. Award-winning wines
“We are one of the original wineries in the SLO County Wine Region and we are proud to offer what we like to refer to as ‘the best wines in Paso Robles.’ Our Wine Club members know this and those who stop by our Whalebone Vineyard Tasting Barn soon discover this as well,” adds Simpson.
At the 2015 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, four Whalebone wines earned medals: 2012 Boneyard, Gold Medal; 2011 BOBWINE, Silver Medal; 2012 BOBWINE, Silver Medal; and 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, Silver Medal.
“The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition is the largest competition of American wines in the world,” says Janalyn Simpson. “We have earned medals several years running – a true testament to our fruit and to the skills and ability of our winemaker, Dan Kleck.”
