Pat Ayers of RE/MAX Collects Shoes in Honor of Earth Day
Denver, CO (PRWEB) March 25, 2015 -- 20 billion pairs of shoes are produced each year, with 95% of those shoes entering into landfill sites. Soles4Souls has recognized and found a way to turn that 95% into jobs for poor and disadvantaged communities by creating micro-enterprise programs. This is in addition to distributing shoes to those in need locally and around the world. To date, they have distributed 22 million pairs in 127 countries.
Pat Ayers of RE/MAX has joined with this non-profit in order to help continue their efforts by collecting new or gently worn shoes to contribute to the Pair It Forward campaign through Earth Day (April 22nd). Those interested in donating may bring their items to Pat’s office located at 3773 Cherry Creek North Dr. Suite 801 in Denver, CO 80209.
