Patriot Software Looking to Give Back to Veterans Through Wounded Warrior Project
Canton, OH (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- Patriot Software, Inc., is competing, but the Wounded Warrior Project will be the real winner if Patriot is awarded the $25,000 prize.
Based in Canton, Ohio, Patriot Software provides affordable online software for the smallest of small businesses. When they heard about the FedEx grant competition for small businesses, they saw it as an opportunity to “give back.”
Mike Kappel (Patriot’s president) explains, “My 90-year-old father is a WWII veteran, and I really appreciate the sacrifices that our servicemen have made. Because of them, entrepreneurs like me can try our luck at free enterprise.”
“Although I can never repay those who gave their lives,” Kappel’s online submission states, “I would like to give something back to those who were wounded protecting our nation.”
The 10-year-old Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) has a motto: the greatest casualty is being forgotten. Their mission is to raise public awareness, and to honor and empower injured service members.
The non-profit WWP focuses its programs on four areas of rehabilitation and transition: mind, body, economic empowerment, and engagement.
Wounded Warriors’ successful programs have brought public support from Bill O’Reilly, the PGA tour, several college football teams … and now Patriot Software, Inc.
Kappel adds, “I hope that our donation will encourage other businesses to make donations as well.”
