PCMA Convene Magazine Showcases Best of the Meetings Industry
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) August 09, 2013 -- PCMA Convene magazine has published its second-annual August issue showcasing the best meetings industry venues, destinations, and service providers in 10 categories, as determined by Convene’s readers and editors.
The “Best in Show” awards program invited Convene readers to nominate their favorite CSR initiatives, technology tools, F&B programs, social-media initiatives, off-site venues, destination videos, high-tech facilities, hotel spaces, places for small meetings, and venue initiatives. Convene editors reviewed the nominations and picked five outstanding honorees for each category.
“We launched our industry awards program in our first-ever August issue last year, and it was a big hit,” said Michelle Russell, Convene’s editor in chief. “In fact, it earned us the 2012 Association TRENDS Gold award. This year, we received submissions for places and initiatives from around the globe, and we made a point of featuring some that were a little off-the-beaten path and out of the ordinary. Taken together, the award winners illustrate what makes the meetings industry so diverse and dynamic.”
