Peace Frogs Supports Typhoon Relief in the Philippines Through Red Cross with Release of New Design
Gloucester, Va. (PRWEB) November 23, 2013 -- Nearly 4,000 people died and millions are displaced following Typhoon Haiyan, which hit the Philippines earlier this month. Peace Frogs is stepping in to help.
The Virginia-based t-shirt company launched a new design this week featuring its iconic Peace Frog holding a candle and offering to help with typhoon relief.
Ten percent of the sales from the new t-shirt will be donated to the Red Cross for their Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts. As of this week, the Red Cross had already committed $11 million to the relief efforts.
“We can’t imagine what some of the families are going through right now trying to rebuild their lives,” said Peace Frogs President and Founder, Catesby Jones. “But if we can make a small difference through the sales of a few t-shirts and the awareness we build every time someone wears it, we feel like we are at least doing some small part to help.”
The Help Typhoon Relief Peace Frogs t-shirt features the iconic frog thrusting the peace sign in the air with one hand and holding a candle in the other. The Red Cross emblem is on his chest. It is available in a navy, 100 percent organic cotton unisex t-shirt. The back features a large screened design with a smaller print on the front left chest.
"Peace Frogs is not icons or products, but really a state of mind,” Jones said. “We don’t represent any form of activism; rather, we are aware that now, perhaps more than ever, the entire planet needs some positively peaceful feelings. We care about the environment, but we care about people, too.”
Peace Frogs has spent the last year continuously layering in original designs in their Cause Collection. Jones said the collection will continue to grow and they will look for additional ways to support relief efforts around the world.
