Peachjar Announces Launch of Digital Flyer Distribution in Port Huron Schools
Port Huron, MI (PRWEB) February 23, 2016 -- Port Huron Schools has launched Peachjar, a digital communication tool that will increase parent and community engagement. “We wanted to cut down on the amount of paper students were taking home and to find a communication solution that reached parents more directly and consistently,” stated Keely Baribeau, community relations director for Port Huron Schools. “So far, the community and parent response to Peachjar has been very positive.”
By using this new system, Port Huron Schools expects to eliminate the need to print over 1.3 million sheets of paper per year – that’s over 161 trees. Additionally, the school district no longer incurs the administrative burden and costs associated with paper flyer distribution.
About Peachjar:
Peachjar was founded in 2011 in response to the billions of paper flyers being carried home from schools each year in children’s backpacks. Parents across North America now receive important school information on to go, and can click to register their children for activities and events.
