Pearce Industries Inc. – Integrated Solutions for the Oil and Gas Industry
Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 03, 2015 -- During the oil boom of the early 20th century, the Pearce family of Houston, Texas, saw an opportunity. Through hard work, sweat and dedication, they founded companies that more than 90 years later form Pearce Industries, Inc., which provides products and services worldwide for the oil and gas industry.
With a reach throughout the entire United States as well as internationally, the companies, based in Houston, TX, are poised to enter 2015 with a strong presence centered on the foundation of Pearce Industries, Inc. The company is growing, with the recent announcement that Pearce Industries’ Waukesha-Pearce Industries, Inc. (WPI) subsidiary has been appointed by GE’s Distributed Power business (NYSE:GE) to expand its 30-state Waukesha gas engines distributorship territory to now include all contiguous 48 states.
“Pearce Industries is a trusted, single provider across multiple products and services in the oil and gas industry,” said Gary Pearce, president of Pearce Industries, Inc. “Customers in the U.S. and worldwide rely on Pearce Industries’ expertise and quick, customized solutions to support their operations.“
Through its subsidiaries, Waukesha-Pearce Industries, Inc. (WPI) and TIW Corporation, Pearce Industries focuses on construction machinery and engine solutions across multiple applications and industries. It is an industry leader in tools and technologies that provide drilling and completion solutions for the oil and gas industry. Pearce Industries customers vary widely from global industry giants like BP, ExxonMobil, and GE to regional companies like Kinder Morgan and Patterson Drilling. WPI employs over 800 people across the United States. TIW employs about 500 worldwide.
“With all the shale plays being developed, WPI is well-positioned to support the industry given our nationwide reach,” said Louis Pearce IV, Business Development Manager, WPI. For example, Patterson-UTI Drilling approached WPI in 2012 to partner in the development of a 100% natural-gas-fired engine to power drilling rigs. Since that time, the partnership has deployed fifteen rigs currently operating across the United States. WPI fabricated the power units and also currently provides ongoing field service wherever the rigs are located in the lower 48 states.
Customers utilizing Waukesha equipment in the United States often operate in multiple areas across the country. The expansion at WPI now provides a single distributor point of contact in the U.S. for genuine Waukesha parts and a consistent, high standard in expert aftermarket support.
“Every customer has different needs, and every well is different,” said Lloyd French, Director of Sales Operations, TIW. “We meet those needs. That’s the advantage TIW brings to the table.”
“We have provided custom-engineered drilling and completion solutions for customers better than anyone in the industry since opening our first service center in 1917,” said Steve Pearce, president, TIW. “Today, you’ll find TIW products in some of the most challenging environments, performing to customer specifications and meeting their needs every day.”
