Pearson Announces Call for Speaking Proposals From K-12, Higher Ed, and Corporate Learning Leaders for the 2016 Cite Online Learning Conference
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 16, 2015 -- Today, Pearson announced that it will host its 16th annual online learning conference, Cite, on February 9-11 in Amelia Island, Florida, at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort. Newly expanded to include K-12 educators, the two and a half day conference will bring together more than 500 online learning program executives, faculty and administrators, corporate and professional training and development industry leaders, teachers, principals, and superintendents.
With more than 300,000 K-12 students learning virtually, online and blended learning is reaching more students than ever before. To support this growing trend, 2016 Cite will feature a K-12 learning track, “Next Generation for Online & Blended Learning”, providing K-12 educators with the opportunity to share ideas and exchange best practices that will help prepare learners of all ages to compete in an ever-changing, global economy.
The call for proposals is open until September 25th. In addition to the K-12: Next Generation for Online & Blended Learning track, program categories include: Innovative Models & Pedagogical Approaches, Managing the Online Program, Professional & Corporate Insights, and Student Engagement & Retention.
Nominations for the annual Excellence in Online Teaching and Online Administration Awards are open until October 5. These awards honor leaders who are making significant contributions and encouraging further innovation in online learning. Nominations may include faculty and administrators from K-12, higher education, and the corporate environment who have demonstrated measurable best practices and innovation in online learning. Winners receive a $1,500 donation in their honor to an existing scholarship fund of their choice.

Cite 2016 keynote presentations will include dynamic sessions featuring New York Times #1 bestselling author of “GRIT: The New Science of What it Takes to Persevere, Flourish, Succeed”, Paul Stoltz, Ph.D., and successful serial entrepreneur and CEO of Chicago startup hub 1871, Howard Tullman. Other highlights from this year’s program include:
