Pearson North America Efficacy Implementation Team Awarded International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) Accreditation
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has awarded the Pearson North America Efficacy Implementation team the prestigious Authorized Provider accreditation status. The Efficacy Implementation team delivers timely and structured learning experiences to help educators effectively implement Pearson digital products in their courses.
IACET’s mission is to advance the global workforce by providing the standard framework for quality learning and development through accreditation. The Pearson Efficacy Implementation team participated in an intensive review process and demonstrated to the IACET committee that they met and exceeded the rigorous standards in the design, development, delivery, and administration of the learning experiences.
As an authorized provider, the Efficacy Implementation department can now issue IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). CEUs are required for many higher education faculty members for their ongoing professional development. The Efficacy Implementation department's certificate of accreditation is valid until July 31, 2019.
Pearson’s Vice President of Efficacy Implementation, Kate Valentine, said, "Becoming an accredited authorized provider of continuing education and training demonstrates Pearson's commitment to delivering quality training and professional development experiences to educators. This is an important step in ensuring we can help our customers leverage our technologies to support the achievement of their teaching and learning goals."
Pearson will be offering its first CEU workshops at the 2015 International Conference on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics (ICTCM).
Pearson’s Efficacy Curriculum Development Manager, Irene Doo, said, “For over five years, we have offered workshops at ICTCM and have always held them to the highest standards. We are continually adapting them to address the evolving needs of instructors and the educational community. These workshops provide a professional development opportunity, and we are excited to offer continuing education units through IACET.”
