Pearson Releases SuccessMaker® 8 — The Continuously Adaptive K-8 Reading and Math Intervention Solution
Chandler, AZ (PRWEB) August 20, 2015 -- Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, today announced the release of SuccessMaker 8, the continuously adaptive K-8 reading and math intervention solution. With over 50 years of proven results, SuccessMaker 8 continues to deliver on its promise to provide school districts with personalized reading and math intervention to K-8 learners. Using the industry’s premier adaptive learning engine, SuccessMaker 8 accelerates student learning with immediate scaffolded feedback, targeted instructional support and comprehensive standards-aligned content.
Beginning the 2014-15 school year, district leaders in Volusia County, Florida were searching for a program for use in their Title 1 schools that could help them fill in the gaps in student knowledge in reading and math for grades 3-5. They turned to SuccessMaker because it automatically personalized the curriculum to fill in individualized learning gaps and allowed both teachers and students to chart their growth from lesson to lesson. Because of this deep personalization and the engaging reading and math content, teachers were better able to prepare students for the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) while motivating students to learn.
“Enterprise Elementary had the highest documented usage and progress for closing our achievement gaps and achieved the best test results of the 7 Title I schools using SuccessMaker in the district,” said Dr. Virginia Abernathy, Principal, Enterprise Elementary.
“In just one year, these Volusia County Title 1 schools reduced the number of students who were unable to pass the FSA from 20 to 6, which is the lowest number in the district.”
This newest release includes significant content additions and enhancements to help teachers prepare students to become college and career ready while continuing to support differentiation in the classroom. Program enhancements deliver more effective learning, improved reporting, more time savings, and better support for changing technology needs with the following:
• New content for K-2 phonological awareness and phonics
• New math content that connects practices and standards
• New alignment to Pearson core math and literacy programs
• New alignment to the WIDA™ standards
• New modern architecture means no downtime for Java updates, lower bandwidth requirements and faster login times
“We're proud of the enhancements SuccessMaker 8 will bring to our customers. By increasing the accessibility and adding new content and alignments, we're even more effective at delivering the right content at the right time to our students. With its unique adaptive capabilities, SuccessMaker can make a huge difference in students’ lives, especially those that need it most, our struggling learners,” explains Lisa Lee, director of product management for SuccessMaker.
