MOUNT ROYAL, N.J. (PRWEB) March 19, 2015 -- Health professionals who provide gynecologic care to children and adolescents are gathering April 16-18, 2015, in Orlando, Fla., for the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) 29th Annual Clinical and Research Meeting. At the event they will share research and clinical recommendations to improve the care they provide their patients. Obstetricians, gynecologists, pediatricians, nurses and mental health professionals will participate in workshops and lectures to learn how to more effectively address conditions such as human papillomavirus (HPV), oncofertility, hypothalamic amenorrhea and polycystic ovary syndrome. The event’s program will also include sessions on more general female health topics such as cosmetic labioplasty, caring for the young female athlete and the health of the world’s adolescents.
The Annual Clinical and Research Meeting is NASPAG’s primary annual meeting. The event is one way NASPAG fulfills its mission of providing a forum for education, research and communication among health professionals who provide gynecologic care to children and adolescents. “The annual meeting is the one big chance during the year where professionals dedicated to the care of pediatric and adolescent girls can interact face-to-face to share breakthroughs and information related to their area of expertise,” says Andrea Taylor, NASPAG Executive Director. “It’s a special time for NASPAG. It’s where attendees all get inspired to go back to their local cities and towns to continue caring for a special group of patients.”
The Annual Clinical and Research Meeting is being held at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. The hotel, located just one mile from Walt Disney World, sits on 21 acres of the Grand Cypress Resort in Lake Buena Vista and offers a wide variety of upscale activities on site. The NASPAG meeting includes several social events, including a Wine and Cheese Welcome Reception on Thursday, April 16 and an early morning Fun Run on Friday, April 17.
