Pehrson Lodge on Lake Vermilion Selected for Photo Shoot of 2014 Bass Pro Boats
Cook, MN (PRWEB) September 17, 2013 -- Bass Pro Shops crew of 12 arrived at Pehrson Lodge, a favorite Minnesota resort, with a caravan of 12 boats to capture the magic of one of Minnesota’s most pristine and beautiful lakes as the ultimate backdrop for introducing their 2014 Tracker Marine boat models.

Among the 12 boats being used in the photo and video shoots are two specially rigged “tower boats” sporting 14 foot high platforms designed to catch overhead views of the new fleet as it appears on the water. These boats allow the photographer or videographer to capture images shot from a higher perspective. The boats have been used in shoots from the Canadian border to Key West Florida.
The new 2014 boat models being captured in the photos and videos during this last two weeks of August 2013 will be used in the 2014 Bass Pro catalogs, web site, store signage and possibly television commercials. Pehrson Lodge suited the needs of the production crew perfectly, not only because of the amazing scenery provided by Lake Vermilion, but because of the full amenities and services available at the resort.
The staff of Pehrson Lodge enjoyed hosting the hard working crew and observing the efforts of the professionals as they crafted their art. Models and production staff were up at dawn daily and worked until dusk in the evenings as well. Taking advantage of morning and evening light for that special “perfect slant” illumination, the crew took a few hours off during midday. The Hansons saw to it that the Bass Pro crew had a chance to experience the activities guests regularly enjoy while staying at the resort. Some did a little sailing while others took to water skis for a zip around the bay. Of course, fishing and just plain relaxing were included in the daily breaks.
The Hansons reported enjoying the down time with Bass Crew staff as well. Eric explained, “We really enjoyed getting to know the staff. In addition to being very skilled professionals, they were also genuinely fun-loving and nice people. The entire staff was a pleasure to work with.” Another high point of the photo shoot for the Hansons was the opportunity it gave Eric and 13 year-old son, Will, to provide the beautiful “model fish” used in the photo shoots.
Pehrson Lodge staff and resort guests had the opportunity to take a closer look at the beautiful 2014 line of Bass Pro’s Tracker Marine boats while observing how the professional models, photographers and support staff planned and executed the shots they aimed to capture each day. Many commented on the perfection of the results obtained by the Bass Pro crew.
Lake Vermilion provides the perfect backdrop for photography. The lake encompasses nearly 40,000 acres of water, 368 islands and 340 miles of shoreline. The crystal clear water shelters many species of fish while the natural shoreline and vegetation support hundreds of species of birds and wildlife.
