PEI-Genesis Continues Growth in Europe

The company opened its first UK facility fourteen years ago in Reading, UK, making PEI one of the pioneer value-added distributors to have a pan-European approach. Since that opening, the company’s European division has experienced rapid growth and has outgrown two prior production facilities. During that period, it added five additional sales offices in Germany, Denmark, Italy, France and Turkey.
PEI-Genesis’ state-of-the-art Southampton facility is 7,000 square meters (75,000 sq. ft.). The Southampton facility assembles, tests, packages and ships 6,000 value-added connectors every day with an average turnaround time of 1.2 working days. Over the five years at this facility, the company has shipped seven million connectors. This speed is the force behind the company’s standard 48-hour assembly promise on almost all value-added connectors, allowing PEI to provide just-in-time (JIT) delivery as a supply chain solution to their European customers.
