Pennsylvania Inventor Receives Cash Prize and Grand Prix Award at InventHelp’s INPEX® 2015, America’s Largest Invention Show
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- InventHelp’s INPEX, America’s Largest Invention Show, announced gold medal and cash prize winners at the closing awards ceremony for its 30th Anniversary show, held June 16-18 at the Monroeville Convention Center, just outside of downtown Pittsburgh.
Gold medals were presented in 45 categories including wellness/fitness, hardware/tools, and personal care products. Merit awards and several special awards were also presented. Each invention is judged by an independent international jury committee, and for 2015, the winners are as follows:
The Life Saver/Top Load Dryer, invented by Adam Roch, of Chadds Ford, Pa. – The Life Saver automatically detects and distinguishes a fire that starts in a clothes dryer. The invention is designed to provide early detection and suppression, which helps to enhance household safety. The product is adaptable for use with new and existing dryers, as well as BBQs, vehicles and HVAC systems. It is designed to operate when a temperature of 190 degrees Celsius is detected.
Mr. Roch makes up a small percentage of InventHelp clients that also exhibit at the annual INPEX trade show. He is the first InventHelp client in the show’s 30-year history to take home the Grand Prix award and $7,500 cash prize. In addition to that award, he also nabbed gold medals in the Alternative Energy, Design (Technical), Environmental and Safety and Security – Industrial categories. He was also presented the Malaysian Award by the Malaysian Delegation of Inventors.
Roch thought of his idea when he witnessed dryers catching fire due to lint build-up. “I worried that if my clothes dryer caught fire, it might burn the house down, especially if no one was around to notice the fire,” said Roch. “Such fires cause injuries and deaths each year, as well as severe economic damages.”
In addition to the Life Saver, two other cash prizes and runner-up awards were given. Several Taiwanese inventors took home first runner-up ($3,000) for their invention, the Quick Dental Implant Kit, a specialized kit that saves time when performing a dental implant while easing the patient’s discomfort. American inventor Alexander Kandemir from New York, N.Y., received the second runner-up prize ($2,000) for the iBrush360 Revolution, a unique new toothbrush style that uses revolutionary technology to allow for brushing teeth the correct way without changing one’s brushing habits.
