People Generation Brings Largest Lantern Festival to Sam Houston Race Park
Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 10, 2015 -- The 2015 Magical Winter Lights, founded and produced by People Generation Global Communications, will make its United States debut in Houston at Sam Houston Race Park this winter beginning November 20, 2015. Set to be the largest lantern festival ever staged in the United States, the 52-day event will run daily at the Houston horse track until January 10, 2016.

People Generation’s partner in the event will be China Zigong Lantern (CZL) Festival & Trade Company, one of the premier lantern companies in the world based in Zigong, China, a region known as the “Lantern Town in the South Kingdom.” CZL Festival & Trade Company will be responsible for the design and construction of more than 100 lantern sets at the 2015 Magical Winter Lights festival. With a total investment of approximately $10 million between CZL Festival & Trade Company and partner, Sichuan PG Salient Cultural Trade Company, the festival will be the most comprehensive and captivating show of its kind to have been hosted in the United States.
Magical Winter Lights will differentiate itself from other more traditional holiday lighting events by basing its designs on Chinese lanterns and transforming them into larger-than-life remakes of well-known landmarks and landscapes found throughout the world. The festival will be divided into seven fascinating themed sections including Magical, Europe, America, Asia, Australia, Africa and Dinosaur Land. The America section feature display lantern sets that Houstonians and Texans can easily relate to, including their hometown sports teams, Western stockyards and the Houston skylines.
Magical Winter Lights will be the first lantern festival to experiment with interactive lantern sets. Festival goers will have the opportunity to enjoy live performances as part of the lantern display or walk inside one of the delicate lantern sets that create a one-of- a-kind visual feast.
