Erik “New Breed” Koch got involved in martial arts at the age of four. By the time he was ten, he’d already earned his first black belt. He developed an early interest in Mixed Martial Arts, and started training as a teenager. During this time, Koch won Knockout of the Night honors, the 2008 Lightweight Championship and the MCC 20 Featherweight Tournament.
