PeopleStrategy® Raises Over $10,000 for the Scarborough and Friends Foundation
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 14, 2015 -- PeopleStrategy, Inc.® a leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider of end-to-end Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, today announced it raised over $10,000 through a charity golf tournament and raffle held in conjunction with the Scarborough and Friends Foundation (SAFF) at White Columns Country Club on December 7, 2015. Founded in 2005, SAFF has provided financial assistance and support to dozens of families with members who suffer from terminal, chronic and debilitating illnesses.
“We are thrilled to be able to help SAFF make a difference for Trey Mills and his mom, Summer,” said David Fiacco, president and COO of PeopleStrategy. “Born with a rare overgrowth syndrome called Proteus, at age four, Trey has endured more pain, suffering and medical treatments than most of us will face in a lifetime. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this great cause either through your sponsorship, participation or monetary donation.”
Proteus, which can cause differences in the appearance and growth rate of various body parts, has affected the entire left side of Trey’s body – inside and out. Trey has already endured more than 400 doctor appointments, 16 sedations, nine surgeries, and had both his left leg and left ring finger amputated. In July, he was diagnosed with severe lung disease and is currently waiting to go on the double lung transplant list in Missouri.
Mother Nature contributed by providing the 38 golfers who came out to support the cause unseasonably warm temperatures and lots of sunshine. PeopleStrategy and SAFF secured the following sponsors who contributed monetarily or through in-kind donations for raffle prizes and silent auction items:
