Personal Trainers Are Now for "Regular People" Too

While it used to be rare to see "regular" people working out along side a trainer, that is no longer the case. In fact, the number of personal trainers in the United States grew by 44 percent between 2001 and 2011. In Canada, the number of licensed personal trainers has grown by 50 percent since 2005. And according to the IHRSA, the number of people who have hired a personal trainer has jumped from 0.5% in 2003 to over 3% in 2013.

Studies show that Canadians are starting to make healthier food choices and that obesity rates are starting to level off after growing for several years.

They either do not have the time or the motivation to hit the gym by themselves or they are intimidated by the entire process and not sure where to start.
