Pet Food Manufacturer, Primal Pet Foods Inc., To Open 50,000 Square-Foot Manufacturing Facility in Fairfield, California
Fairfield, California (PRWEB) April 27, 2016 -- The City of Fairfield, California’s economic development department today announces that Primal Pet Foods Inc., a manufacturer of fully prepared, human-grade raw foods and treats for dogs and cats, is moving its manufacturing facility from San Francisco to Fairfield.
“We looked throughout the immediate San Francisco Bay Area and chose Fairfield because of the availability of a value-priced new building,” says Matt Koss, founder and president of Primal Pet Foods.” “In addition, the City’s strategic location on Interstate 80 is ideal for distributing our products. Because we purchase meat, poultry, and produce items from the Central Valley, its proximity to that area of the state is beneficial.”
The pet food manufacturer has signed a lease for 50,000 square feet with landlord Sierra Pacific Properties, in a new construction building by contractor Sisler and Sisler Construction at 535 Watt Drive in Fairfield. The new location is twice as large as its current San Francisco location, allowing it to expand production capabilities, grow in volume, and improve work efficiency.
Cold Storage Group, Inc. of Union City is providing build out of the facility.
Primal Pet Food’s expansion is anticipated to provide the opportunity for new jobs. Operations are expected to begin in late summer 2016.
