Pet Products That Give: Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Greenwich, CT (PRWEB) October 07, 2016 -- The American Pet Products Association (APPA) is proud to share how some of its members are getting involved in Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. In a trend seen across other retail segments, pet product manufacturers are also partnering with breast cancer charities and have designed limited edition pink pet products in honor of the annual awareness month.
“It’s wonderful to see our members showing their support for breast cancer research and awareness,” said APPA President & CEO Bob Vetere. “Breast cancer has tragically affected so many people and it’s inspiring to see industries of all kinds, including the pet industry, supporting the fight.” He added, “Research has shown pets are good for health and in many cases help lift the spirits of those battling disease and illnesses, so it is fitting that many in our industry have decided to recognize awareness campaigns such as this.”
Fusion Gates- artfully designed pet gates for the home, has created a special art screen, Songbirds in Pink, dedicated to supporting victims of breast cancer. During the month of October, for all Fusion Gate purchases (any gate, any size, any style) made on fusiongates.com, the company will make a $20 donation to The Pink Fund. For those purchasing the Songbirds in Pink art screen, the company will make an additional $10 donation. The Pink Fund is an organization that provides funds to help pay for breast cancer patients' basic living expenses while in treatment. For more information, please visit Fusiongates.com.
SiliDog Pet Tags, ‘silent’ pet tags made of 100 percent silicone are ultra-durable and never fade.
