Peter Becker Community Partners with Home Helpers of Lansdale to Offer Home Care to Residents
Harleysville, PA (PRWEB) December 10, 2013 -- Peter Becker Community, a non-profit continuing care retirement community, has recently partnered with Home Helpers of Lansdale, the area’s leading home care provider, in a move to enhance choices and meet the changing needs of community members.
At Peter Becker Community, residents have the option of transitioning among levels of care, which include residential living, personal care and skilled nursing, as their needs change. The first choice of most seniors, however, is to stay where they currently are, even if they become frail, or face health issues.
That’s why Peter Becker has entered into a preferred provider arrangement with Home Helpers of Lansdale. There is a rapidly growing demand for quality, affordable non-medical assistance for community members, such as support with activities of daily living like bathing, showering and dressing, medication reminders, errands, companionship, light housekeeping or escorting to and from doctor visits.
According to Kate Roberts, Director of Support Services at Peter Becker, “We needed a high-quality, reliable option for our community members who might need a little extra help now and then. Home Helpers tailors the services to the needs of each individual, and the agency has a stellar reputation in the community. “Home Helpers at Peter Becker Community” will have campus presence with staffed office hours. The agency will provide personal care assistance, homemaker services, and companionship to residents in all levels of care, as requested by residents and their families.
In addition, campus residents will receive preferential pricing under this arrangement. A concierge caregiver program will be launched in early December to allow campus residents to engage the services of Home Helpers, and schedule shifts as short as 30 minutes, with much needed flexibility.
Finally, as an integral part of this new strategic relationship, Home Helpers is pledging to formalize and increase its previous and ongoing commitment to Peter Becker Community’s Benevolent Fund.
