Pevco to Showcase Material Transport Solutions at Arab Health 2014
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) January 22, 2014 -- Pevco, a U.S. manufacturer focused exclusively on pneumatic tube systems for hospitals, is pleased to announce that it will exhibit its tube system technologies at the Arab Health Exhibition and Congress next week in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Scheduled from January 27 – 30 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center, Arab Health 2014 is expected to draw more than 82,000 healthcare professionals from 83 countries, making it the largest and most prestigious annual healthcare conference in the region. Attendees include hospital administrators, doctors, nurses, laboratory managers, medical assistants, medical-equipment manufacturers, and dealers and distributors.
Pevco’s display will be at the Maryland Department of Business & Economic Development Stand (#1H17) in the U.S. Pavilion. The company’s exhibit will feature Pevco Link™ and Pevco TEC-6™.
Pevco Link is an advanced control system for tube system stations comprised of a touchscreen computer, integrated barcode reader, database and web application. Its intuitive design and easy-to-read graphics make it easy to send pharmaceuticals, specimens and blood products with the touch of a button. Its integrated barcode reader allows users to track the contents of any carrier sent through the system. Transaction data is accessible at the station and through a new web application released earlier this month.
Pevco TEC-6 (Trackable Ergonomic Carrier for 6-inch diameter pneumatic tube systems) is a reusable container molded from Eastman Tritan™ copolyester that holds and protects patient-critical medical items sent through a tube system. TEC-6 offers greater durability than competing carriers and is compatible with any manufacturer’s 6-inch tube system, not just those made by Pevco. Other features include an ergonomic design, closed-latch indicators and integrated barcodes for carrier tracking.
Pevco announced last year that two medical centers in Kuwait – Mubarak Dialysis Center and Farwaniya Hospital – have installed a Pevco pneumatic tube system. These two facilities represent Pevco’s first customers in the Middle East.
“With a rising demand for healthcare, countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council are an important market for our international expansion,” Pevco President Fred Valerino, Jr. said. “Arab Health 2014 will be a great platform for meeting healthcare administrators in the region who seek the patient care and operational benefits our pneumatic tube systems can offer.”
