PGA Junior Golf Camps to Offer Advanced Player Overnight Camps at Top Courses
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (PRWEB) May 13, 2016 -- The PGA of America’s PGA Junior Golf Camps announced the debut of its Competitive Edge overnight camps for advanced junior golfers. The camps will be hosted at some of the country’s top golf destinations and properties including Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wis., the home of the 97th PGA Championship; Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa, Calif.; PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and Pauma Valley (Calif.) Country Club just outside of San Diego.
The Competitive Edge camps are focused on intense game improvement for co-eds ages 12-18 preparing for tournament play and collegiate golf. Camps include the advanced study of all aspects of the game, the use of the industry’s most sophisticated instruction technologies, and daily on-course instruction to hone course management skills. These advanced camps will also incorporate fitness and conditioning sessions, nutrition seminars, and evening sessions, featuring notable experts within the junior golf space.
“We wanted to develop a camp program for the competitive junior golfer seeking a higher caliber of instruction. The camps will be intensive in nature and will be similar to that found at a golf academy program in that each camp includes advanced golf instruction, as well as significant concentration on ancillary components such as physical conditioning and developing the mental side of the game. In terms of the locations – it really does not get any better. Along with their coaches, Competitive Edge campers will be playing award winning courses such as Whistling Straits and PGA Village, on a daily basis – which we think is the ultimate proving ground for individual skill development,” said Marc Haddad, founder and CEO of PGA Junior Golf Camps.
The PGA Junior Golf Camps also reported that its participation numbers for this summer’s day camps have already surpassed 2015 numbers. The day camps, offered at 75+ nationwide locations, are open to juniors ages 7-17 and of all ability levels. The camps’ proprietary curriculum allows kids to learn the game’s fundamental skills—as well as develop life and character skills, such as good sportsmanship, camaraderie, and integrity, in a fun and supportive environment.
