PGA Tour Wives Work with Convoy of Hope to Fight Hunger
Springfield, MO (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- On Wednesday, August 6 at 10:00 am, the PGA TOUR Wives Association, whose spouses will participate in the 25th annual Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr. Pepper, will package groceries and supplies at Convoy of Hope’s World Distribution Center in Springfield, Mo. for upcoming local community events to be held later in the month.
“We are honored that the Web.com Tour Wives will join us to lend a hand in our local community,” says Hal Donaldson, president and co-founder of Convoy of Hope. “Partnerships like these make what we do possible.”
The Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr. Pepper will take place next week in Springfield, Mo., August 7-10, 2014. The event gives spectators the opportunity to watch the next generation of PGA TOUR golfers play for a good cause. Since the tournament’s inception in 1990, the event has raised nearly $11 million for local charities.
