Pharmasave Atlantic Chooses ScreenScape for Digital Signage
Dartmouth, NS and Charlottetown, PE (PRWEB) December 15, 2015 -- Pharmasave Atlantic announced today they have selected ScreenScape Networks Inc., leaders in place-based media software solutions, to upgrade their digital signage network.
The Live Well with Pharmasave Network powered by ScreenScape will connect and control dozens of screens, strategically located inside Pharmasave Atlantic pharmacies, to present engaging healthcare and pharmacy services information to patients and customers while they visit a Pharmasave pharmacy. Forty locations were operational on the network at the end of November 2015 while another 20 are expected to join in the coming year.
“Pharmasave Atlantic supports its members through a range of patient and customer-focused programs designed to help pharmacists promote new services and build relationships with their patients and their community,” said Greg van den Hoogen, CEO of Pharmasave Atlantic. “Over the years, as the technology has improved, place-based media has become one of the more innovative of these programs. Well placed screens give us an efficient means to share valuable information to patients and customers while they visit a pharmacy.”
With more than 60 community pharmacies across the region, Pharmasave Atlantic is one of Canada’s leading independent pharmacy and drugstore retailers. Pharmasave Atlantic moved to ScreenScape when it became clear that such a move would offer Pharmasave specific advantages.
“The important question for Pharmasave Atlantic as we advance this technology is really how do we do it in a way that is manageable and cost-effective for our members?” added van den Hoogen. “That line of thinking led us to ScreenScape and their unique plug and play approach. ScreenScape offers the right combination of ease-of-use and cost-effectiveness that has proven to be the better fit for us.”
ScreenScape makes software that helps businesses connect and control screens over the Internet. Using a simple plug and play device, ScreenScape customers can turn any screen into a connected digital sign. Once a screen is connected it can be updated, monitored and managed over the Internet using ScreenScape.com.
“Place-based media is quickly becoming a favorite promotional tool for today’s modern pharmacists, and it’s about so much more than simply lifting retail sales” said Mark Hemphill, CEO of ScreenScape. “Pharmacies play an integral role in the healthcare of our community. Pharmacists and pharmacies offer a wide range of new and innovative services. They can provide medication reviews, assess and prescribe for several minor conditions, administer flu shots and other vaccinations and offer travel health services, to name a few. Place-based media is a smart way to promote these services while at the same time entertaining and educating patients while they wait for a prescription to be filled.”
