The 2016 Best Places to Work in South Carolina award is based on a two-part evaluation process. The first part evaluates the company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consists of an anonymous employee survey to measure the experience of the company’s employees. The employee survey assesses overall employee satisfaction and engagement regarding company leadership, culture, communication, opportunities to learn and grow, as well as pay and benefits. Both parts of the evaluation are used to determine top companies. The evaluation process is managed by Best Companies Group, an independent research organization.
