The Houston telecommunications service provider will now be called PS LIGHTWAVE, INC., effective immediately. PS LIGHTWAVE is expanding its network size and enhancing its design to deliver Pure Speed through increased bandwidth, capacity and transport capabilities.

PS LIGHTWAVE’s facilities-based infrastructure is configured as a switched Layer 2 network. Designed in an Ethernet ring configuration, the private network has fewer hops and diverse routing, resulting in lower latency and less downtime. New network builds include greater fiber density and 100 Gig links between nodes.
“We’ve increased capacity on our primary metro ring and at multiple Points of Presence,” said Robert Jacobs, Network Director/Architect for PS LIGHTWAVE. “On the Ethernet side we are shifting from the standard 10 Gig interconnections to 100 Gig links.”
