Photo Marketing Association Transfers Ownership of Professional Picture Framers Group
McLean, VA (PRWEB) July 09, 2015 -- As a part of its recently announced new strategic direction, the Photo Marketing Association International (PMA) has transferred ownership of the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) to Monarch Expositions, owned by Deborah Salmon and Bruce Gherman, principals of the West Coast Art & Frame Expo (WCAF) and publishers of Picture Framing Magazine.
In early 2015, the PMA leadership determined four key pillars that will be the cornerstones of the organization: empowering businesses to effectively serve and sell to the consumer; evangelize, advocate and promote overall industry interests; provide knowledge and expertise, so the photography businesses can grow and thrive; and create, support and promote industry-related guidelines and conventions. With these strategic initiatives directing PMA to focus its full attention on its core members – businesses in the photo imaging space – PMA made the decision to look at other avenues to ensure PPFA members would be well served going forward.
“It has always been PMA’s goal to provide an excellent level of service to all our members. We could not have asked for a better new home for PPFA than Monarch Expositions, which will allow those members to continue to take part in all the benefits of WCAF and Picture Framing Magazine,” said PMA CEO Georgia McCabe. “We have partnered with the leadership of this excellent organization for the past few years, co-locating the PPFA Conference with the West Coast Art & Frame Expo and National Convention. Just as the photography industry is PMA’s core focus, the framing industry is theirs. We are very confident this move is in the best interest of both PMA and PPFA members.”
Current PPFA members will continue to receive benefits in PMA throughout their membership cycle. For businesses that provide both photographic services and framing services, PMA and Monarch Expositions will be creating a special discounted package for dual membership in both organizations.
Monarch Expositions takes ownership of PPFA effective immediately. For more information about the new management, contact Maureen Robertson, [email protected].
