PhUSE Further Expands its Global Community Into the Asian Region
(PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- The inaugural single day event in Japan will be held October 31st in the Hotel New Otani Tokyo Gardens in Tokyo. Clinical data scientists will meet and discuss various topics about standard data implementation and validation.
The second single day event in China will be held November 28th in the Merck offices in Shanghai. The clinical data scientists attending this event will discuss topics around CDISC ADaM and standardisation of tables, figures and listings, which display data collected in clinical studies and beyond.
India will see its second single day event of the year in Bangalore in November. The details are being worked out and will be published on the PhUSE website soon.
PhUSE events director for Asia and member of the board Ajay Sathe (Cytel) is excited about the great progress in the planning of these events. By stating that, "all three regions have set up enthusiastic working groups of industry professionals, that work on planning the logistics, the speakers and presentations, and also arranging sponsorships to support the events", Ajay gives credit to the group of volunteers who support him in the organization. In the past, Ajay has already successfully organised multiple single day events in various regions in India. He is currently collaborating with the chairs of the events in Japan and China to set up an interesting agenda for the single day events which will be free for PhUSE members. With the expansion into the Asian region, PhUSE does a significant step to reach one of their strategic goals to have 5,000 members by 2015. In an effort to elevate the role of clinical data scientists, PhUSE strives to represent their members on technical input to regulatory agencies and standards organisations around the globe.
