Phybridge Promotes Power over LRE Switch Innovation to Help Accelerate Cisco Collaboration Adoption
LAS VEGAS (PRWEB) July 11, 2016 -- Today at Cisco Live, Cisco’s annual IT and communications conference, Phybridge announced the “extend your Cisco network” campaign launch. The objective of the campaign is to create awareness of the Power over Long Reach Ethernet (PoLRE) switch innovation that is helping Cisco customers migrate to an all IP platform eliminating risk, cost and complexity.
The PoLRE switch innovation offered by Cisco and Cisco partners delivers Ethernet and PoE over a single pair of wire with 4-four times the reach of traditional switches. PoLRE allows customers to extend their local area network and transform their existing voice infrastructure into an IP path with power that is ideal for Cisco IP phones.
Federal government agencies, large enterprise, education, retail and healthcare customers have extended their LAN with PoLRE and successfully migrated to an all IP platform. “An independent study by Nemertes Research Group Inc. showed that only 28% of companies have gone full IP,” said Steven Fair, EVP for Global Sales of Phybridge. “One of the main reasons is physical infrastructure challenges which will take a substantial amount of time and money to remediate. Cisco has created a part number for the PoLRE switch so customers can easily migrate to Cisco IP phones using existing telephony wiring.”
