Physician Compass Continues Growth
Madison, Wisconsin (PRWEB) October 19, 2016 -- In the midst of ever-changing federal data requirements, health care reporting company Physician Compass is helping more and more providers navigate the reporting landscape and continues to grow its success in the market. The organization, founded by the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality and the Wisconsin Hospital Association, recently announced two new hires, additional customers, and a reporting solution to address the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ new MIPS measurement program.
NEW HIRES
Physician Compass added Sales and Marketing Manager Austin Fleer to its team earlier this summer. Fleer, a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate, previously worked with restaurant-industry software provider EatStreet. Joining Fleer is Account Manager Kristina Nardi. Also a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate, she brings technical revenue cycle management and quality reporting experience from previous work with LinkEHR and SVA Healthcare Services.
“Adding talent like Austin and Kristina means we can deliver excellent customer service and support, while broadening our reporting tools for the future,” said Product Director Chris Kleine.
MIPS REPORTING SOLUTION
CMS’s new Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) program rolls out in January 2017 as part of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA). It ultimately replaces previous reporting requirements for the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS), the Value Modifier Program and the Medicare Electronic Health Record Incentive Program.
For 2017, Providers will receive a MIPS Composite Performance Score based on three weighted categories: Quality, Clinical Practice Improvement Activities (CPIA) and Advancing Care Information (ACI). Physician Compass’s MIPS product will allow providers to report on all three categories.
“As a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR), our goal is to be the one-stop solution for MIPS reporting, making it easy for providers to meet the new requirements,” said Kleine.
EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE
Physician Compass continues to offer its PQRS and Meaningful Use reporting tools, as well as custom solutions for practices and groups already adept in quality reporting and seeking options that support improvement. With actionable benchmarking reports, customers are able to select which measures to report, see where they stand against the registry and CMS averages, and identify where they need to improve quality of care.
“Generating these reports helps providers see how they can deliver even better care for patients,” Kleine said.
On the PQRS side, Physician Compass provides solutions for more than 8,000 providers across 12 states and has brought on several recent new customers. The company also is expanding its market share in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, and is planning the launch of an improved web platform in 2017.
“Physician Compass customers have been reporting quality data for over a decade, and we’re excited about our continued growth and the new solutions we will be rolling out to meet our customers’ quality data reporting needs,” Kleine said.
