PI Asked by Federal Performance Improvement Council to Provide Valuable Resources
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- With the Government Performance and Results Modernization Act’s (GPRMA) new reporting requirements looming, The Performance Institute (PI) has met with the planning teams at Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and others to help them meet their February deadline.
While many agencies have planned for this event for months and even years, some are still putting finishing touches and edits on their plans. The new types of measures and implementation structures are required by the law, specifically the new Strategic Objective Review Process, outlined in the latest edition of the OMB Circular A-11, Part 6. By emphasizing leading, outcome-based objectives and an enhanced connection between budgeting, activities, and strategic goals, the White House’s Management team is aggressively pushing to put strategies and measures to better use, aspects frequently mentioned by Senators Mark Warner, Tom Coburn and others as they crafted GPRMA in Congress.
PI, the leading think tank dedicated to government transparency and accountability, was asked by the Federal Performance Improvement Council to provide resources to the Federal Performance Professionals in all agencies as part of the new Government Performance Ambassador Program. In November, all Federal Performance Ambassadors, made up of emerging data scientists and performance analysts from all agencies worked with PI in planning for the new law’s implementation.
