The Piattelli Malbec Luján de Cuyo Grand Reserve 2014 has been chosen for this year’s Grand Tour. The Wine Spectator Ground Tour hits the road this spring, making stops in Las Vegas (May 6), Chicago (May 9) and Miami (May 12).

The 2014 Piattelli Malbec Luján de Cuyo Grand Reserve is described by Kim Marcus, Wine Spectator, as a “Rich and finely textured, with unctuously fruity flavors of dark cherry, Christmas pudding and olive that are supported by firm tannins. Bittersweet chocolate details show on the fleshy finish”.
Piattelli Vineyards covers 477 acres in Cafayate, Salta (elev. 5,577 feet) and 121 acres in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza (elev. 3,300 feet). Piattelli’s wines fall between the US $10 to $30 range.
