New York, NY (PRWEB) February 25, 2015 -- The Pier Antique Show will once again return to Pier 94 in New York City this spring. U.S. Antique Shows, producer of the industry’s most anticipated events, will host the biannual event on March 28-29, 2015.
Featuring more than 400 dealers and their incredible collections of antique and vintage merchandise, the Pier Antique Show is a must attend shopping destination for national and international dealers, interior designers, collectors and enthusiasts. Items featured on the show floor include a selection of kitchen and home décor, paintings, antique jewelry, art glass, ceramics, and more.
Fashion Alley, popular with attendees of all ages, has a wide variety of vintage clothing, jewelry and handbags. The section has doubled in dealers over the past year and is currently sold out for March 2015. Through U.S. Antique Shows goal to expand Fashion Alley, dealers have also been offered increased booth space to showcase more of their merchandise this March.
Carol Walker of Walker’s Collectibles has been a staple dealer at the Pier Antique Show since nearly its inception. “I always look forward to seeing the attendees at the show. They’re really excited about the pieces and we have made a lot of really good friends over the years. In March, I’ll been showcasing an array of new merchandise from the 1920s to the 1970s.”
“I’ve been exhibiting in Fashion Alley at the Pier Antique Show for the past 10 years. I especially love the social aspect of the show, which has a reputation for bringing new customers with a wide variety of interests,” says Andrea Levy of Lofty Vintage. “Unlike other strictly vintage clothing shows in which I participate, the Pier Show attracts a diverse clientele from around the world whose interests often go far beyond fashion.”
Along with the expanded Fashion Alley area, many antique dealers are ready for the return of the March show, including another one of the show’s veteran dealers, Mark Kaplan of M&M Antiques Inc. “I have been exhibiting at the Pier Antique Show since 1985. In all that time, I have only missed two years when Hurricane Sandy severely damaged my house.” He continues, “The most exciting part about selling at the show is the diverse group of shoppers that a show of this quality attracts. I will be displaying a group of vintage chandeliers, sconces and table lamps in the classical and mid-century styles as well as a selection of Meissen, sterling silver and vintage furniture.”
The spring event will also be hosting Appraisal Day during the show on March 29 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. In partnership with Skinner Auctioneers & Appraisers, all attendees, with a valid ticket to the show, are invited to bring one item to be appraised for free by one of Skinner’s expert appraisers.
Show times are Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $20 and is valid for reentry both show days. Children under 16 are free when accompanied by an adult.
