Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Rug 'In Dog We Trust' Might Have Started out as an Error but This Typo Is Benefiting Some Worthy Dogs
(PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office rug 'In Dog We Trust' might have started out as an error but this typo is benefiting some worthy dogs.
This auction is literally going to the dogs. The Pinellas County Sheriff Office's new area rug was received from the manufacturer with a major typo. After two months the error was finally spotted by a sharp eyed deputy, "In God We Trust," was mistakenly received “In Dog We Trust." Fortunately, for abandoned and mistreated dogs the proceeds from 'the doggone rug' auction will benefit The Canine Estates, a nonprofit formed by three sisters taking care of injured and abandoned dogs in a 4,000-square-foot home in Palm Harbor. Last year the organizers at Canine Estates found homes for 186 dogs. They are currently housing 40 dogs. Social media has leashed on to the story which is growing hourly by leaps and bounds. At the time of press the bidding has risen to $6150 with over 26 thousand views on OnlineAuction.com.
