Playwright and Author “JB” Announces Relocation to Atlanta and Other Developments
ATLANTA, Ga. (PRWEB) October 22, 2014 -- Playwright and author J.B. Burrage has relocated to the Atlanta area and is announcing several recent entrepreneurial accomplishments, including the relaunch of his book, as well as the creation of a new blog, website and brand.
JB—as he is branding himself—is a full-time writer and the proud author of “Caught Up.” The book, which is currently available at Amazon.com, is a thrilling novel that centers on the life of Jeremiah Blackwood, a young, dark and very eligible bachelor who is trying to defy the odds of the stereotypical black man in the dirty south and overcome the small-town mentality that constantly threatens his success. Through hard work and determination, he honed his craft as a writer and began making his mark in the community when he met a caramel complexioned girl who could make Buffy the Body look like Miss Celie in The Color Purple. She seemed so innocent the first time they met. Much to his surprise, he found that not only was she far from perfect, but soon realized that she was involved in some things bigger than he could wrap his small mind around. The book also includes a short story written by JB, called Leslie, which is available only in paperback copies.
The passion JB has for writing is also evident in his new blog, aptly named The 3-B Experience. In addition, JB is the creator of the play, Caught in a Twisted Web—based on Caught Up—and several 10-minute plays. Whether he’s crafting a book or play, JB is a dedicated writer who is passionate about creating engaging material for his audiences. “My projects are written to hook people without them realizing they are hooked,” he said.
JB’s new website at http://www.the3BDimension.com is the latest addition to his growing roster of professional projects. The site, which describes JB as “The Extraordinary Wordsmith,” merges the essence of his brand online, where JB fans can keep up with upcoming events and join his mailing list. The website is operated by 10th Avenue Enterprises Inc., which oversees JB’s various business activities, including the contracting of his services, the licensing of his intellectual property, and the coordination of events and promotions. In addition, 10th Avenue Enterprises is the parent company of J. Burrage Productions LLC, JB’s theater and film production company, and 3-B Dimension Publications, which publishes his books, short stories and other printed materials.
JB’s role as an author, playwright and visionary has been a long time in the making. When he was growing up in Meridian, Miss., JB was an avid reader and writer who hungered for knowledge and self-discovery. His quest to find himself led him to serve in the Army, which allowed him to travel the world and broaden his personal perspective. If it wasn’t for the Army, he says, he wouldn’t be where he is today. “Overall, it was a great experience,” JB said. “I did things and saw things that I never would've been able to had I stayed in Mississippi. I met a lot of good people and I learned a lot about myself and my determination.”
That determination is helping to fuel the business enterprises that JB is operating in the Atlanta market today. In addition to writing his own projects, JB offers writing, business development and production management services to help others fulfil their professional passion. “My production projects will incorporate creative and unique methods to ensure that patrons receive a full experience besides the usual show,” he said.
