Plumbing Depot in Wigan strikes a ‘record’ deal by looking to expand into a neighbouring record studio
Burnley, Lancashire (PRWEB UK) 24 December 2013 -- James Hargreaves Plumbing Depot has also recruited extra staff to cope with on-going demand at its flourishing branch on Clayton Street Industrial Estate.
Business has improved five-fold since the outlet opened in June 2011 with Wigan recently returning the highest monthly turnover of all the firm’s 35 branches.
Proud manager Mick Fee believes the key to the success is simple.
“It’s down to service levels; we go out of our way for customers and they not only keep returning but also recommend us to others,” said Wigan-born Mick, who has managed the branch from day one along with assistant manager Graham Lodge and will now oversee the up-coming expansion.
“Graham and I have great experience in the plumbing business in this area and our customers know they can trust us. The sales figures speak for themselves and I see no reason why the success won’t continue, particularly with the planned programme of growth."
“It is rather ironic that as record breakers we are now looking to expand into what has been a recording studio next door! "
“We turned over £40,000 in month one back in 2011 and last month did £200,000 of business – the aim now is to keep that going.”
Another Wigan man with plenty of experience in the plumbing industry, Chris Schofield, has joined the happy ranks and will assist across the duties of trade counter and warehouse.
“I have worked with Chris before and he knows what we are all about here,” added Mick. “And if the trend continues, we could well be looking at further recruitment in the not too distant future.”
