Plurilock Founder Speaks to the Future of Biometrics
Victoria, BC (PRWEB) February 27, 2016 -- Plurilock, an advanced biometric cyber security software provider, today announced that its founder and Chief Scientist, Dr. Issa Traore will be a keynote speaker at the 2016 Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory Workshop on Friday, February 26, 2016.
Plurilock’s patented flagship products BioTracker and Pluripass are the first biometric cyber security software solutions to provide continuous user authentication, making a security breach unfeasible.
“Traditional biometric systems, like retinal or fingerprint recognition, require expensive hardware and is limited by users only being able to access the network from a specific computer. Our technology captures user behaviour and creates a unique user profile based on the measurement and analysis of typing speed and cadence, and can be used from any location,” says Dr. Traore.
The theme for the Norwegian Biometrics conference is the future of biometrics. Speakers from academia as well as from commercial and governmental organizations will give their opinion on this issue. Dr. Traore will be discussing the myths and realities surrounding the usage of biometrics and will be participating in a panel debate, where the audience will have the opportunity to ask critical questions to a panel of experts.
Currently also a Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Victoria, B.C., Canada, Dr. Traore holds a PhD in Software Engineering from Institute National Polytechnique (INPT) -LAAS/CNRS, Toulouse, France; and a MSc in Automatics and Computer Engineering, as well as a MSc in Aeronautics and Space from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace (E.N.S.A.E), Toulouse, France. He has published over 120 technical papers and 2 books in computer security and software engineering and supervised more than 23 Master and PhD graduate students in the last 10 years.
