PMG Research and Wilmington Health Announce Formal Clinical Research Partnership
(PRWEB) October 08, 2013 -- PMG Research, Inc. and Wilmington Health announced today finalization of a Master Agreement that formalizes a five-year relationship between the two organizations. Wilmington Health, the largest fully integrated multi-specialty medical group practice in Southeastern North Carolina, has been treating patients for nearly 40 years. PMG Research of Wilmington, one of ten clinical research sites in the Winston-Salem-based PMG Research network, has been conducting clinical research in the Wilmington area since 1997.

In addition, Wilmington Health will provide all ancillary services and procedures associated with any of PMG Research of Wilmington’s ongoing trials, delivering a more streamlined, convenient experience for clinical research participants and their caregivers.
Kevin Cannon, MD, a hospitalist with Wilmington Health and a Principal Investigator and Medical Director at PMG Research of Wilmington said, “I don’t know that many people in Wilmington are aware of the clinical research opportunities available to them. Through this partnership, my hope is that we are able to spread awareness of clinical research so more people will consider participating if the time is right and they find a trial that is suited for them.”
To commemorate the partnership, a vaccine honoring each of the 700 employees at Wilmington Health was donated through the Greater Gift Initiative, whose mission is to advance global health and highlight the greater good of clinical trial participation by gifting a vaccine to a child in honor of every clinical trial volunteer.
