Pomegranate Launches First Music Matchmaking Technology Using the Spotify Web API
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 24, 2014 -- Today, Pomegranate announced the launch of the first-ever matchmaking technology that leverages the Spotify Web API. This application, code named "Curiously," has been referred to as the “Tinder of Music.” This application represents a first-to-market advertising solution that is designed to create a triangle of engagement between brands, their consumers and music.
This announcement from Pomegranate comes just 6 days after Spotify announced the release of its new Web API.
Pomegranate has been working on this technology since early this year, and the release of the Spotify Web API enabled them to complete and launch their application.
A major motion picture company announced on June 20th that it would be the first company to leverage Pomegranate’s new technology in an advertising campaign for their movie.
Pomegranate is also exploring other viable uses for this technology including online dating and event promoting.
“Music advertising is a young medium that few agencies have been able to implement viable solutions for yet,” says Founder and CEO Grant Powell. “Our new matchmaking technology combined with our other music advertising applications such as our Playlist Generator puts us on the cutting edge of this space.”
