Pomegranate Studio Wins National Design Awards
Tallahassee, Florida (PRWEB) October 26, 2013 -- Pomegranate Studio was recently awarded three 2013 American Graphic Design Awards by Graphic Design USA magazine. The designs were chosen from among more than 8,000 entries from design studios across North America.
The American Graphic Design Awards are presented annually to recognize outstanding design created in the prior 15 months. They are judged in 23 categories ranging from print and packaging to internet and interactive design.
Tallahassee-based Pomegranate Studio won awards in three categories -- product packaging, logo design and brochure design.
The packaging award was for the redesign of the HoneyPax Single packet box. HoneyPax is a Florida-based company that sells natural honey collected from local beekeepers. The product — portable, one-serving Tupelo honey packets — are sold in high-end grocery stores including Whole Foods.
The logo and brochure awards were for work on the Camp Take the Lead project. The camp is a partnership between the Florida Retail Foundation and the Florida Department of Children and Families to give foster kids a step ahead on the path to employment and independence.
Pomegranate owner and principal designer Perry Albrigo said the honor is a nice acknowledgement of a successful project. "When design helps a client be more successful, that is a good thing," he said. "Design is always about helping the client reach its goals, and I am proud to be recognized for being part of that process."
Pomegranate Studio has been serving businesses, associations, universities and state agencies for more than 16 years. Their services include identity and branding, print collateral and website development.
