PoopGuard: Dual-Compartment Cat Litter System Now Available For Pre-Order on Kickstarter
New York (PRWEB) May 29, 2014 -- Today, entrepreneur Serge Karnegie launched his newest creation, PoopGuard, on the popular crowdfunding website Kickstarter. PoopGuard, a re-imagination of contemporary litter boxes, combines functionality with fashion and provides pet owners with a host of practical upgrades which make it an optimal alternative to the litter systems currently on the market.
PoopGuard features a dual-compartment system unlike anything found in other litter boxes. The entryway section, located just beyond the door, features an integrated mesh flooring designed to help reduce messy litter tracking while the rear section houses the litter. PoopGuard is the first litter system on the market to feature an interior design this advanced.
Poop Guard differentiates itself from its competition by elaborating on what previous systems have attempted in terms of design as well as safety. Coprophagia, or the consumption of feces, is a dangerous habit that can be prevalent in dogs. Finding previous litter boxes to be unhelpful, Karnegie had to rely on feeding his cats pills to make their waste less desirable to his dog. PoopGuard greatly reduces the chances of dogs eating cat poop and, in addition, eliminates the need for putting cats on long term, expensive medication.
In addition to its safety-oriented design, PoopGuard features a number of functional improvements over that of its contemporaries. The front door has been lowered as well as widened in order to accommodate cats of any age or size. A carbon filter system located near the rear of the system eliminates pervasive odors while a roof-mounted, easy access panel expedites the removal and replacement of litter.

By hosting our project on Kickstarter, we hope to generate a lot of support and interest from backers from the earliest stages."
PoopGuard chose the crowdfunding website Kickstarter in order to procure funding because of the site’s sustained success over its lifetime. Setting a funding goal of $40,000, PoopGuard plans to apply the funds toward manufacturing and shipping costs for the first batch of PoopGuard pre-orders.
