Popfax Launches the Windows Mobile Version of its Fax Application - PopCompanion

First released on the Google Play marketplace, the PopCompanion mobile fax application became rather popular within business owners, with over 25 000 downloads. Meanwhile the company had also released the iOS and Blackberry versions of the app, allowing users to fax from practically any device, except Windows Mobile phones.
By adding the missing PopCompanion Windows Mobile app to its collection, Popfax is offering its clients with Windows Mobile devices the same functions available on other platforms. Among the most important features are:
- Sending and receiving faxes from a mobile device.
- Sending of SMS’s.
- Adding a cover page to fax content.
- Adding files from the Image Gallery or by taking a picture of the document.
- Managing contacts, so that users may send faxes/SMS’s to contacts stored on the device or to Popfax contacts.
- Managing folders
It has never been so easy to fax documents. Users can now scan documents with the Windows Phone native camera. The app has incorporated a perspective crop tool which enables users to isolate different planes within an image and crop: the algorithm automatically corrects distortions caused by perspective.
The application also works in offline mode allowing users to create, modify and delete folders, transfer faxes to other folders, manage contacts and groups, send faxes and SMS's through PopCompanion, even without an Internet connection. The PopCompanion app puts actions in a queue, waiting for the next network connection to synchronize. When the user returns online, the application will automatically synchronize with the Popfax account.
