PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) October 23, 2016 -- Horseback riders must be able to mount and dismount the horse comfortably to make the most of the experience. This requirement, unfortunately, often keeps those with physical or mental limitations from riding. Thanks to the creativity, however, of an inventor from Pikeville, N.C., that is no longer the case.
He developed the LIFT BUDDY to help individuals with special needs mount and dismount a horse. As such, it provides enjoyment of horses and horseback riding for those with physical and mental challenges. In other words, it affords opportunities for more people to experience equestrian events. It does so because it is designed for use by anyone who might need help getting up onto a horse. At the same time, it is lightweight and portable for easy storage and transport. It is also safe and durable for years of effective use. In addition, it is convenient, user friendly and affordably priced. Furthermore, the invention also can be used to elevate a mechanic to reach under the hood of a large vehicle or card, as well as a temporary wheelchair ramp. It can be used for multiple other purposes as well.
The inventor’s professional experience inspired the idea. “I own horse stables and train horses for the Special Olympics. We needed an assistive device to help participants with special needs mount and dismount the horses easily,” he said.
